In India, tailoring is considered important due to the diligence it adds to one’s life skill set. To promote self-confidence and an eagerness to be independent, ASRA initiated the course of cutting and tailoring, especially for women who want to have their earnings. This course is approved by Government organisations like (NIOS) – Certificate in Cutting, Tailoring & Dress Making (1 Year), Certificate in Cutting & Tailoring (6 Months). Each batch can accommodate about 10 -15 students. ASRA classes are held in fully air-conditioned classrooms with each student being equipped with personal machines. On successful completion, students are awarded a Certificate or a Diploma depending on the course duration.
